About Me

My photo
i own a little vintage shop on the south coast by the sea, or at vintagepersempre.com. im married and we have a beautiful baby girl. i like going for walks on cold sunny days and trashy reality tv. i love small boutiques, markets and big city centers. im slightly dyslexic so you'll have to ignore my poor spelling, and i rarely use capital letters. my music taste is so varied, from country to screamo, oh and musicals. i love song lyrics, pretty photographs and modern art. i have many guilty pleasures and im really not very cool. im obsessed with drawings and tattoos of birds, but im genuinely terrified of real life ones. i guess you can read on to find out more (:

Spring Summer Trend Alert: Precision Whites

I get so excited this time of year!
In the latest issue of Vogue came with it the Vogue SS13 edit that beautifully and simply shows the upcoming trends of Spring/ Summer
For me the trends of SS are always more favourable than Autunm/ Winter. I love the light colours, delecate detailing and lightweight fabrics such as chiffon.
Don't get me wrong, i'll team up biker boots with a lace skater dress any day - but thats just me. Truth is everything looks better in the sunshine!

So to celebrate the upcoming trends and to highlight my favourites I've put together a facebook album showing the trends in the vintage way, using pieces from Vintage Per Sempre! Over the next few blog posts i'll be showcasing each trend individuully in more detail, but remember you can always pop over to our fb page to see it all in one place! (although I have to admit that at the particular moment in time I haven't yet finished putting all the pieces up .... sorry!'

SS13 Trend: Precision Whites

'From lacework and crochet to broderie and brocade - lavish detailing brings a couture complexity to the simplest of pieces, turning the blank canvas of white into a work of art.'

Carousel!

A little while ago i promised on my facebook & twitter that i would do a blog post on my interview in the quarterly magazine Carousel.
finally i have gotten round to it, yay!

Carousel is a really lovely magazine with lots of wonderful things about fashion, cooking, thrifting, photography and vintage lovliness. The 'maker' of it is kirsty bridge, a personal style blogger and a fashion student. It was so lovely to meet her for the interview and she wrote such lovely things about my shop.
Part of their mission statement reads
'... Carousel has no hidden agenda other than to fill your world with a little more magic'
and i think that sums it up perfectly!

It was filled with so many lovely features and i was really happy to be asked to do a piece.

i was so excited to receive my copy of carousel and you can get yours here!
