About Me

My photo
i own a little vintage shop on the south coast by the sea, or at vintagepersempre.com. im married and we have a beautiful baby girl. i like going for walks on cold sunny days and trashy reality tv. i love small boutiques, markets and big city centers. im slightly dyslexic so you'll have to ignore my poor spelling, and i rarely use capital letters. my music taste is so varied, from country to screamo, oh and musicals. i love song lyrics, pretty photographs and modern art. i have many guilty pleasures and im really not very cool. im obsessed with drawings and tattoos of birds, but im genuinely terrified of real life ones. i guess you can read on to find out more (:

the black swan

Saw this film last night

beautiful.

if you get freaked out by a bit of gore,
or by other people having sex
or get scared easily (like me!)
- then its not really for you.

I personally thought it was amazing (:

science & faith

Love this song (:

you won’t find faith or hope down a telescope,
you won’t find heart and soul in the stars.
you can break everything down to chemicals,
but you can’t explain a love like ours.

the script - science & faith

My love for the seaside.

I love living in Bournemouth.

Went for a night time walk along the beach tonight; cold but lovely (:

I wish i was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair.

Since taking the step to finally dye my hair ginger from dark brown (after going through stages of red, purple, blonde highlights [ouch!] blacky blue and jet black) I'm now even more adventurous with what I do with it.

I've never been one of those girls with perfect straight hair - its just not me. But right now i'm really feeling accessories - especially peacock feather fascinators and green hats. I like that they'll turn heads.

I also met this really cool girl at a market who made cute flower clips out of old records, the whole recycle scene is cute. I love it.

Finally giving in to the world of blogging ...

After much deliberation, stalking other blogs and a teeny bit of pestering by my boyfriend, I've decided to delve into blogging. Technology has never been my strong point (I may have already thrown a couple of flids up to this point - i'm way too easily frustrated), so as a warning now to not expect lots of pretty pictures, songs or videos... hopefully someone will teach me soon how to do that.
I can't quite grasp the addictiveness of blogging, whether its genuinely learning about similar interests that you have with others or having a real nosy into someone else's world, but it is fun - i like how raw and honest people are.

I'm still undecided whether i'm using this to promote (is that the right word?) my shop or if i actually want to be involved in the venting, bitching, bragging but kinda exciting little internet world.

Short insight to me - I opened a vintage shop just over a month ago in Pokesdown - a currently sleepy town but its getting there! I love 50's dresses, modern art and a massive mix of bands. My boyfriend is my best friend. I just dyed my hair orange. Lyrics mean a lot to me (expect them to pop up randomly). Oh and I sing to myself when i'm happy.
